Flexible and connected lighting to transform an industrial building into a versatile space
The Arts Building, located in London, is a former industrial art studio. The company U+I commissioned Gibson Thornley to transform the space into a new, flexible, and versatile office that could accommodate various uses.
To successfully achieve the project's objective, the building's structure was modified by adding skylights to maximize natural light. A track lighting system and additional ceiling fixtures were also installed to create a flexible solution for spaces that needed to be transformed from a conventional office to an exhibition space. LedsC4 lighting, combined with a Casambi connective system, provided the necessary adaptability, maximizing efficiency by regulating artificial lighting based on natural light and creating atmospheres that evolved with the use and the space.
