Instituto Vilablareix

Thanks to the lighting and control solutions provided by LEDS C4, this high school has significantly reduced its energy consumption, which was the main goal of this lighting project. The luminaires’ in-built sensors can regulate the light intensity, thus creating a flexible space that adapts to the levels of natural light at any given moment.

The installation complies with the CTE (Technical Building Code), which requires that all luminaires installed in public construction are less than five metres from the window and are dimmable.

A custom version of the Microprisma model from the Infinite Pro collection was made to achieve even, diffused lighting in the classrooms. This customisation involved modifying the length of the product and adding a rigid fastening system. Integrating the Standalone sensors into these luminaires made it possible to regulate the light intensity in accordance with lighting standards, thus achieving energy savings of 15-20%.

The Infinite Pro Wall Washer was used to provide improved whiteboard lighting. Manufactured according to the Zhaga standard, the asymmetrical Wall Washer lens creates an effect of high uniformity and no dark areas. The surface version of Taglio di Luce Direct was chosen for the lighting in common areas, a linear system that runs along the entire corridor.

Through its Ready To service, LEDS C4 delivered the luminaires with the sensors already installed and configured, resulting in an easy installation that fulfilled the school’s energy efficiency objectives. In these types of projects, the Ready To service combines the benefits of lighting control with the easy installation of a conventional luminaire.
