Eco-design: the only way to design.

Eco-design: the only way to design.

Our lighting solutions are designed with a deep environmental consciousness. We prioritise eco-friendly processes, materials, and components throughout the design and manufacturing stages, and we ensure that every decision we make is aligned with LedsC4's high-quality standards.

Every day, our design and engineering teams work together, bringing their talent, vision, and technical knowledge to craft innovative solutions that guarantee that our lighting is efficient, reusable, and recyclable.

Our 7 eco-design principles:

Prioritise dimmable lighting

Over 60% of our products have dimmable lighting, which saves energy and optimises spaces while enhancing personal comfort and well-being. As we move forward, we strive to expand this eco-friendly feature to the majority of our catalogue.

Continue improving LED efficiency

The efficiency of our LED module plays a critical role in reducing our lighting’s energy consumption. As a result, we put extra effort into monitoring and analysing this technology to continually minimise the environmental impact of our products throughout their life cycle.

Encourage disassembly to reduce waste

We would love our lighting to last a lifetime. Even though that is not possible (yet), we foster endurance by enabling the replacement of our lighting components. 99,8% of our drivers and LED modules can be replaced, reducing waste and promoting a circular economy.

Reduce waste by enabling disassembly

90 % of our products can be easily disassembled at the end of their life cycle, which helps with their maintenance, replacement or fixing. Increasing the disassembly feature in our catalogue is fundamental to accomplishing our commitment to reducing the impact of our company’s activity on the environment.

Increasing the use of easily recycled materials

79% of our pieces have eco-friendly materials, such as steel, wood and brass, in their main component – the body structure. We are also starting to introduce low-carbon emissions aluminium in our collections (read more about it in point 7), which is a meaningful step forward to continue investigating and innovating with more conscious materials.

Increasing the use of recycled materials

6% of our lighting is made of recycled materials, which you will find in our Infinite Pro and Infinite Slim collections. By 2026, we aim to reach 20%.

Materials manufactured with low carbon emissions

Our popular collection Circular, which accounts for 4% of our catalogue, is known for its aluminium that's made with low carbon emissions. In other words, it's been carefully manufactured using renewable energy and efficient electrolysis technology, thus emitting a quarter less CO2 than the global average for aluminium manufacturing. In 2023, we're excited to be expanding our use of this environmentally friendly material to manufacture our Infinite Pro and Taglio di Luce collections.
