In collaboration with the non-profit organisation Foundawtion, LedsC4 has donated high quality lighting systems for the Namaqua Kalahari Children's Home, a safe haven designed for 60 abused and neglected children.
The origin of this project can be traced back to a visit by Foundawtion members to the Gochas community, where they identified an urgent need to provide a safe environment for local children. In response, Foundawtion developed a comprehensive architectural plan and began to gather the necessary resources to build this home. LedsC4, in collaboration with other companies who donated furniture and ceiling fans, provided lighting expertise to create a safe and welcoming environment.
Construction of the Namaqua Kalahari Children's Home is progressing on schedule, with a scheduled opening in the fall of 2024. This home will not only provide a safe place to live, but will also include an ongoing support programme in cooperation with the Namibian Ministry of Education, ensuring a lasting impact on the lives of these children.
Since its founding in 2014, Foundawtion has been dedicated to addressing architectural and design needs in disadvantaged communities. Its mission includes energising communities through architecture, design and education, creating positive and sustainable change.
LedsC4 is honoured to be part of this noble cause that seeks to transform lives and offer a hopeful future to children in vulnerable situations. Our participation in this project reflects our strong commitment to initiatives that have a positive and lasting impact on communities in need.
