At LedsC4, we believe, “Lighting is an essential aspect in our lives. Contrasts, settings and lighting intent affect the way we think, feel, live, experience and make decisions.”
Lighting communicates a message about the type of business that the customer identifies subconsciously. For example, an outlet store will have flat, cold lighting, while a luxury store will opt for clearer and more spot lighting. “Between 60 and 90% of the information we receive in the first 90 seconds of our exposure to an object is related to colour. Reliability in colour reproduction is a basic requirement in a good shopping experience”, LedsC4 confirms.
With expertise gained from more than 50 years in the industry, LedsC4 will be participating in the EuroShop Fair (Düsseldorf, between 26 February and 2 March), the most important date on the retail industry's calendar. It will do so at a stand of 50m2, where it will display its latest features and bestsellers in a completely connective facility, with defined lighting scenes and small corners simulating shops. This is the first international exhibition the company will be attending since the adoption of its new visual identity, which was just made official a week ago, designed by the prestigious branding and graphic design studio Mucho.
Smart Lighting for Smart Retail
Traditional stores are transforming into places where brands create interactive spaces and offer personalised proposals and more dynamic shopping experiences. “Having a connected lighting system is essential to retailers as it offers them information on their consumers, thereby enabling them to personalise the shopping experience,” explained Jordi Rocasalbas, Director of Innovation at LedsC4 and Director of its Design and Innovation Centre in Madrid.
Achieving an adapted offering is key to being both attractive and relevant. In this vein, LedsC4 has its own hub, specialised in the retail sector, in Madrid. Its Design and Innovation Centre aims to develop advanced technical lighting solutions that are customised to each project. “In this centre we increase the response time in the retail sector and we support the goal of being a leader in terms of innovation in lighting, control, connectivity and digital services.”
Control and connectivity are also important, whether it's to maximise efficiency, improve well-being or encourage sales. “Connective lighting systems are designed to collect data that are converted into information used in our customers' decision-making processes,” Rocasalbas explained.
With investments made in technology and R&D&I amounting to €1.7 million in 2022, as a company LedsC4 is tackling one of the largest transformations towards sustainability in the lighting industry in Spain. Its smart luminaires offer customers (in this case, retailers) energy savings of up to 75%. “Our goal is to continue working and progressing along this path, with sustainability remaining an integral part of the company's development strategy,” Xevi Corrons, LedsC4's Human Resources Manager, stated.
The designs on display at EuroShop:
We will be presenting new features, like the Bento Wall Washer, and will be supported in Düsseldorf by bestsellers like Totem, Strom and Infinite Slim.
Bento Wall Washer: A new collection of linear downlights that is the result of a lengthy study by LedsC4's product designers. With a long, narrow design, Bento has a multi-cell structure with individual lens modules where each LED uses a specific reflector. It has been developed to guarantee homogeneous lighting and create a Dark Light effect.
Totem: Lighting shouldn't steal the limelight from the space's design. It should be integrated with the design without sacrificing lighting quality and it should draw attention to the products on display. Totem can be tilted at an angle of up to 30⁰, which avoids glare and produces a clean, comfortable effect.
Strom: The Strom spotlight is specially designed for accent lighting in retail settings. Strom highlights the colours in the products on display.
Infinite Slim: With a high light package and super-extensive lens in a body only 25 mm wide, Infinite Slim is the perfect solution for clients looking to adapt to their space's architectural concept.
