The new hairdresser salon specialised in natural curly hair has opened its doors in a modernist building in the heart of Barcelona.

The concept is based on transmitting an organic and authentic aesthetic through curves, textures and coppery tones that take us back to the elegance of the past and the freshness of the present, placing special emphasis on the care applied to the experience of treating curly hair.

Continuous micro-cement surfaces on walls and floors provide a nuanced backdrop, while the volumes in the space provide contrast in textures and sheens.

The building is divided into a high-ceiling area, where the volta catalana has been recovered, as well as its floral patterns, which houses the cutting, definition, washing, dye display and waiting area, as well as an area with a lower ceiling specially designed for the dyeing and drying process.

Lighting plays a key role in the design. Miriam Barrios' interior design team sought a striking, integrated lighting concept that would emphasise the work zones and highlight specific areas such as the ceiling frescoes and the architecture of the space, providing a dramatic and carefully considered atmosphere to enhance the customer experience.

For the high ceiling area, the special projects team, together with LedsC4's lighting design team, designed low voltage Up & Down pendant structures in the shape of a curved triangle that blend in with the aesthetics and concept of the project.

In these triangular structures, the Atom Low Voltage spotlights have been strategically placed on both sides of the client's chairs, to provide focused and balanced lighting during the service that complies with the 1000lx standard required by this project.

In addition, the triangles also integrate the Bento Low Voltage collection for general lighting and LED strips from the On Low Voltage collection for the ceiling lighting.

For the lower ceiling area, Low Voltage recessed tracks have been installed following the same concept that the triangular structures convey with general and focused lighting.

Finally, indirect lighting is also included in the mirrors and display points and decorative lighting with the Ilargi and Levels tabletop collections.
