Escola Industrial
The Regional Government of Barcelona has renovated the hall at the
Escola Industrial, taking advantage of all its original elements and
equipping it with technology to turn it into a multi-purpose, versatile
auditorium. For this project, LEDS C4 was entrusted with designing
the lighting and developing exclusive luminaires for this purpose.
In the auditorium, concentric circular structures in the shape of
floating disks were installed on columns and aimed towards the
stage. They comprise 12 indirect light points that grant the space
a unique nature, in addition to two pivotable direct light points that
are projected onto the centre of the amphitheatre. Furthermore, an
LED structure was installed at the rear of the main façade’s stained-glass window to highlight its colours and improve its visibility
from the exterior as an iconic element of this modernist building.
The project was completed with a set of linear lights located on the
wooden ceilings of the auditorium’s access points and for general
lighting, linear systems were used, including the Infinite LED, LED On
strip lights and downlights from the Sia collection.
